Weed barrier fabric heavy duty needle punched UV resistant is made of PP weed mat and polyester fiber. Widely used for garden, landscaping, agriculture, construction projects so on, it can prevent the growth of weeds without using chemicals. And because of the woven process, it has some tiny gaps through which water and air can pass.

Heavy duty landscape fabric needle punched is a double-layer ground cover fabric widely used in agriculture, gardening, landscaping, engineering & construction, home, and greenhouse. Made of woven weed barrier fabric and polyester fiber, it is UV-resistant, breathable, and permeable. The addition of polyester fiber improve its breathability, water permeability, and soil moisture retention, reducing herbicide use and labor costs.

The needle-punched manufacturing process creates thousands of tiny, evenly distributed pores throughout the fabric. These micro-openings allow water and air to pass through easily, helping moisture and oxygen reach the soil and plant roots. Compared with ordinary plastic mulch, it effectively prevents soil compaction and ensures healthy root development. At the same time, the pores are small enough to block weed growth, maintaining excellent weed control performance.
By blocking sunlight, the weed barrier fabric prevents weeds from carrying out photosynthesis, effectively inhibiting their growth from the source. This physical weed control method eliminates the need for chemical herbicides, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly solution for gardens, landscaping, and agricultural applications.
The fabric is treated with UV stabilizers to resist degradation caused by prolonged sun exposure. This UV resistance helps maintain strength and performance even in harsh outdoor environments, extending the service life of the weed barrier fabric and ensuring long-term weed control with reduced maintenance and replacement costs.
The flexible yet durable structure makes the fabric easy to handle, lay flat, and secure during installation. It can be easily cut to fit different shapes, planting layouts, and site conditions, allowing for quick installation and customized use in gardens, orchards, landscaping projects, and pathways
Clear the weeds and level the soil surface.
Place the fabric on the soil and fold edges 7–10cm to prevent weed growth at the sides.
Secure the fabric with ground staples at ends and every 5m along sides.
Use a tool to cut “X” shapes for planting or choose pre-punched mats and plant directly.
Flower beds, gardens, lawns: Laying landscape fabric effectively prevents weed growth and reduces maintenance.
Horticultural planting: Placed around plants, it allows normal growth while stopping weeds from absorbing nutrients.
Parks and roadside green belts: Used in landscaping projects to maintain a neat and attractive appearance.
Vegetable farming: Placed between crop rows to reduce weed growth and increase yield.
Fruit tree planting: Around tree bases to retain soil moisture and prevent weeds.
Greenhouse cultivation: Minimizes soil-borne pests and weeds, improving management efficiency.
Road construction: Non-woven landscape fabrics strengthen the subgrade and prevent weeds from damaging the pavement.
Green roofs / permeable paving: Used under green roofs or paved areas to prevent weeds and maintain aesthetics.
Slope protection: Prevents soil erosion while controlling weed growth on slopes.
Gravel or stone paths: Placed under stones to prevent weeds from growing through gaps.
Mulch or bark layer coverage: Under mulch to keep it neat and reduce weed growth.
Garden walkways: Reduces exposed soil and weeds.
Compost areas or waste sites: Prevents weeds and makes maintenance easier.
Greenhouse / nursery ground cover film: Used with ground film for better weed control.
Erosion control projects: Helps retain soil and prevents weeds from taking over.
